Welcome to hokuten.net! The current focus is the Hokuten Oekaki.
Switching gears
Working on a lot of things this summer: my internship at GE steals 50hrs/wk from me, I’m doing freelance design for the school during the rest of my awake hours. In my sleep, I work on my fraternity’s website and I still have to get started on adding a gallery to the Asian American Alliance website and make a new Chinese Student Association website for my university. I recently (as in a month or two ago) moved my resume/portfolio site to DavidOSomething.com.
Not quite giving up on the LotRK project. I found out that someone already translated the script — it’s available on GameFaqs.com. If I ever get back to this, I’ll just ask for permission to insert this script. Until then, it’s killed my motivation.
So I’m going to move back to working on the Hokuten Oekaki in my spare time (which is close to nil). I want to use a PHP Framework in conjunction with PEAR and have the whole thing powered by AJAX — that should make development faster and gives me a chance to learn a bunch of new things. Right now I’m reviewing the different frameworks available and leaning towards the Zend Framework.
Finally, this is also a test post to see if the LJ-XP plugin is working… so if you’re reading this on LiveJournal then yay hooray.

Some business…
hokuten.net hosting has been renewed for the year.
hokuten.net domain has been renewed for two years.
WP upgraded to latest version a while ago (and always will be).
Newly hosted people include:
http://aquaregia.hokuten.net/ – Meng Wang (artist/webdesigner)
http://dsrh.hokuten.net/ – DarknessSavior (romhacker/translation site)
http://spikeman.hokuten.net/ – Spikeman (romhacker/translator)
As for me, I’m still too busy to do this fun stuff!
